Reporters create an account and complete onboarding to understand the platform's standards, taxonomy, and submission requirements. New reporters begin at Level 1, building their verification rate over time to unlock higher trust levels and consultancy project opportunities.

Reporters are added to a dedicated Slack community where they receive the intelligence infrastructure needed to report effectively and quickly.

Reporters submit threats through the platform. An AI assistant supports the submission — helping structure the title, categorisation, and summary. The location and date/time of the threat are the reporter's responsibility to get right. Reports are time-stamped at point of occurrence and point of submission.

Reporters are paid based on how quickly they report a threat from the moment it occurs. The faster the report, the higher the reward — incentivising real-time, on-the-ground intelligence.

Once submitted, the threat is published to the Crowd Threat platform with a confidence score derived from reporter level and verification rate. All threats are Unverified until reviewed by the internal team, who will mark them as either Verified or Disproven:

The internal team uses the Crowd Threat VERIFY tool — an AI-powered QC system — to assess every submitted threat. VERIFY checks the threat title, type, summary, timeline, and location against source material and platform taxonomy, returning a structured pass/fail result with reasoning. The outcome updates the threat's verified status on the platform. Feedback from verifiers is fed back to reporters, providing constant training to the crowd to improve reporting quality over time.

Reporters compete for monthly cash bonuses based on their cumulative score — rewarding consistency, speed, and quality across the month.

All per-threat earnings and bonus payments accumulate in the reporter's Crowd Threat wallet. Withdrawals are available once the balance reaches £20, paid via trusted payment gateways.

Verified threats flow to clients through two tiers — a free public map with a 48-hour delay for general awareness, and premium access for clients requiring real-time and future-looking threats.
